With all the options we provide, she feels able to truly customize treatment to each individual’s needs. She finds great satisfaction in developing meaningful, long-term relationships with patients and seeing the impact of her work on their quality of life. Get to know her a little bit by continuing to read the following.

Why Did You Decide to Be a Physician Assistant?

Growing up, Alanne knew two PAs who owned and operated a family medical practice. In fact, her mother worked there! She admired their focus on and genuine interest in helping their patients, making a positive difference in the community. She felt inspired to do the same with her life and has always sought to integrate medical knowledge and professionalism with patient-first care.

Where Did You Study?

For her undergraduate degree, Alanne studied at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then earned her Master of Medical Science in Physician Assistant Studies at North Greenville University. Her clinical rotations included various areas, such as family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, women's health, general surgery, urgent care, critical care, and dermatology, but she also has used Vivos DNA oral appliance for minor sleep apnea and craniofacial misalignment. Although additional certifications and memberships are pending, she is a current member of the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) and the Christian Medical and Dental Associations (CMDA).

Outside the Office, What Do You Do?

Alanne is married and has three cats at home, but her parents and twin brother live nearby in Wilmington. When you ask her about her passions and hobbies, the answer will always be volleyball—in any shape or form, but she especially loves beach and indoor volleyball. In fact, she played for UNC Club Volleyball team, and she continues to play pick-up games whenever she can. She also coaches beach and indoor volleyball. In her church community, she and her husband remain active through game nights, discussion groups, and ultimate frisbee.
